Book Fair and Book Club - What is the difference?

PublishingPageContent
What is the difference between Book Fair and Book Club?

Book Fair happens once per year (usually at the start of July (term 3)). A compact mobile bookshop is delivered to the school library for one week. Children, parents, teachers and community members can then purchase quality books and classroom materials at reasonable prices, while earning rewards for our school. Book fair gives all those who are purchasing books the opportunity to touch, and connect with the books they want to read.

Book Club happens at the start of term one, two and four. We do not offer a book club in term 3 as we do book fair instead. Book Club catalogues are distributed to each student and provide quality, age-appropriate selections so children can choose their own books. The books in the Book club catalogues are chosen by experts and cover a wide variety of formats, genres and themes. The school earns rewards for every book which is ordered.

How are the rewards used?
The rewards from both Book Fair and Book Club will be used to replace some of the much loved books in the library which are falling apart and for the purchase of new books for our students to borrow.
