North Arm State School P&C Association

North Arm State School has a busy and active Parents and Citizens Association and contributes in many ways to improve the school, provide additional resources and provide services. The P&C actively fundraise to provide additional funds for projects, particularly through our two business units - the tuckshop and uniform shop.

Our highlights over the past couple of years include raising sufficient funds to:

  • install air-conditioning in all classrooms
  • contributing $80,000 to the upgrade of the hall
  • Embedding large community events as part of our culture
  • $35k of additional musical instruments and storage
  • Basketball hoops
  • Garden upgrades
  • Trailer
  • Sports Shed
  • Covered walkway for Year 3 and 4
  • Air-conditioned multiple spaces
  • Chicken coop
  • Mountain Bike trail and much much more...

Our dedicated P&C makes a vital contribution to the school community and always welcomes new members or support from volunteers. If you would like to be involved, please contact the P&C by email or come along to our regular meetings each month.

How to join

Come along to any general meeting and fill out a membership form to join the P&C.

Meetings are generally held each month in the staff room at North Arm State School. Everyone is welcome to attend and registered members are allowed to vote on decisions. For afternoon meetings, a Teacher Aide is provided to supervise children so that parents can attend the meeting.

Volunteers welcome

Many hands make light work and we thank the very many parents who assist with so many events and activities within the school. Being a volunteer is a rewarding experience which provides opportunities for new friendships and a chance to be part of a busy and active community.

Any amount of time you can offer makes an important contribution. So if you have 15 minutes, an hour or two, or a day or two, please consider coming along to see how your skills and experience can build great resources for our children and our community.
