Why choose our school?

Over the years many families have actively sought out our school. In joining our community, families have committed to doing whatever is possible to help make this the best possible learning and living environment for their children.

During the past ten years we have grown from a small school of 120 students into a school of 350 students. Enrolment management has enabled us to steady our growth, and to fit comfortably into our facilities.

However, since many of our 2013 Year 7 students have become part of the Year 7 Pilot at Nambour State High School, we now have vacancies in all year levels from Prep to Year 7 and enrolments may come from anywhere in the district.

This window of opportunity exists for those families who do not currently live in North Arm, who would like to enrol their children at this wonderful school.  Please contact the office on 5472 9888 for further information, or download the enrolment forms from our website:

Productive healthy all way relationships between students, staff and families are a cornerstone of this school’s operation, as is a quality, committed and stable staff who approach their own learning with gusto.

At this school parents have always gone to astounding lengths to strengthen what we have here for children. They have always expected high level academic outcomes and have enthusiastically embraced our school’s broader curriculum.

Have you seen and heard our school’s music program in action?

Perhaps you have listened to our year one classes pounding out their own compositions on the marimbas ?

You might have watched our award winning Senior Marimba Band or our school’s Rock Band bringing passers-by to a standstill when they perform in shopping centres and outdoor venues.

Have you ever felt the pride in our own community of school volunteers as we do since being  announced joint winners of the 2012 Regional Showcase Awards for Excellence ?
Can you feel that real sense of connectedness to community as you walk around the beautiful local North Arm area, with our staff and other families, as part of a Walk Safely To School morning ?

Or what about the children’s delight when they see the size of the sweet potatoes they grow, and their pride in the gourmet meals they prepare and share, in the Stephanie Alexander kitchen ?

You may have walked down the front stairs of the school early in a winter’s evening and heard the children’s entreaties to their parents, to let them stay at After School Care just a bit longer?

You will notice too the genuine concern and care for children shown by teachers, as they find that bit extra that’s needed and go that extra mile for their students.

There is a sense of real affection and care between our lower school students and their special buddy in the upper school which exemplifies our teaching for heart and which is key to our ethos here.

If you have been in the large relaxed crowd at 10.00 am on a sunny Monday morning, cheering on your own and everyone else’s little ones, as they stumble and run on undaunted during their kilometre long cross country run, you will know there is no better place to be.

We welcome you to see what lives in this school for our students.
