Our school’s ethos of “Lifelong Learning for Heart, Mind and Earth”, is the anchor that underpins the North Arm experience. This philosophy has been used to develop a strong school identity and to develop the whole child through balance, wellbeing and achievement.

The North Arm Whole School Curriculum Framework provides a vehicle for teachers to flexibly meet the needs of students ensuring each student becomes a confident and capable learner. Our curriculum planning and offerings are regularly shared with the school community to keep families informed regarding their child's learning.

Our goal is that North Arm students are:

Age-appropriate Pedagogies

At North Arm, we value the important of the early years (Prep to Year 2) and adopt a holistic balanced, play and engagement focussed teaching method called "Age-appropriate Pedagogies".

Age-appropriate pedagogies support early years teachers to apply a range and balance of teaching approaches and characteristics of quality teaching in their classroom practice. Teachers are supported to align curriculum, age-appropriate pedagogies and assessment to maximise children's engagement in learning and to enhance outcomes.
